Mass calibration is essential for the reliability of scale readings. Mass calibration entails a weight comparison from the scale readout against a known standard or mass value. Mass Calibration for Accurate Scales

LTI’s mass calibration lab maintains constant temperature (68°F ± 1°F) and humidity (30-50% RH) control to stabilize weights and instruments before and during measurement. Under these conditions, our technicians can calibrate to 0.00001 of a gram.

LTI can also calibrate mass reference standards. Weight calibration services are available for a wide range of classes, including A, B, C, F, M, P, Q, S, S-1, T, 1, 1.1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, as defined in the specification NIST/NBS Handbook 105-1 & 44, NBS Circular 547 and ANSI/ASTM E617. A2LA accredits mass calibration services to ISO 17025, and calibration results are traceable to NIST.

Scales and balances can be calibrated in our lab or at our customer’s place of business; our in-house lab and field technicians perform fast calibrations without compromising the reliability of results. You’ll get timely, accurate services and an easily digestible Calibration Certificate with a full report of all work and results. When your instrument is due for recalibration, we will send you a reminder notice.
