Dimensional Calibration of Tools and Master Gauges in the Greater Philadelphia Area

Calibration tools

Dimensional calibration services, including tool calibration and gauge calibration services, are performed to evaluate and adjust instruments to maintain accurate measurements. During dimensional calibration, also known as mechanical calibration, measurements taken with the instrument are compared to those of a standard with measurement traceability to a national authority such as NIST. LTI Metrology is a comprehensive calibration lab. Service is fast and can be provided in our suburban Philadelphia location or onsite at your facility. LTI’s calibration services are A2LA accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, and the results of our measurements are traceable to NIST.

Fast Tool Calibration With a Quality Focus

LTI Metrology has a climate-controlled laboratory to stabilize instruments, and our team of dimensional calibration technicians is highly experienced. We provide customers in varied industries with gauge, micrometer, caliper, and other tool calibration services, and also calibrate masters and length standards.

The technicians work in a state-of-the-art temperature and humidity-controlled laboratory for the most accurate measurement. The room is maintained at 68°F ± 1°F  with 30-50% relative humidity. We can calibrate to one-tenth of a millionth of an inch.

After calibration is complete, you will receive a detailed Certificate of Calibration. Information about measurement traceability, accreditation, and the instrument’s condition, including out-of-tolerance conditions and adjustments made during calibration, will be reported on the certificate.

Resources to Make Calibration Easier

LTI calibrates threaded ring gages and has an inventory of over 750 master set plugs. If you do not have the one needed for your ring gauge calibration and we don’t have it in our inventory, we can help you purchase the proper set plug through our relationship with manufacturers. Review our inventory of Calibration Set Plugs.

If calibration is new to your company or you are new to calibration, you can pick up some helpful hints in the article “Why and When to Calibrate.”
