Pressure Calibration Services

Digital Pressure Gauge to be calibrated

Laboratory Testing Inc. provides professional and accredited pressure calibration services in the greater Philadelphia area. We offer a variety of specialized tests, including barometer, compound pressure, density meter calibration, and more.

What Are Pressure Calibration Services?

Pressure Calibration compares the output of a device used to measure and display pressure with that of a pressure measurement standard. Pressure calibration services are performed on pressure measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability. Several industries rely on regular pressure calibration to ensure their products meet essential quality standards. Routine pressure calibration services will help ensure the accuracy and precision of pressure-measuring instruments

How Does LTI Conduct This Testing Method?

Computerized pressure modules with capacities from vacuum to 40,000 PSI perform pressure calibration services and record the readings. Based on the measurement range of the instrument undergoing calibration, one of LTI’s six pressure modules will be selected for the inspection. It is customary to exercise the instrument to its full capacity three times before beginning calibration.

As with most calibrations, a standard with a known value or capacity is compared to the instrument being calibrated during the pressure calibration process. Most instruments undergo a 5 point pressure calibration, whereby the inspection occurs at every 20 percent of capacity. A higher accuracy pressure transducer or pressure gauge calibration will include 10 inspection points at every 10 percent of capacity.

LTI Metrology performs pressure calibration to 40,000 PSI, including barometer, manometer, pressure transducer, and pressure gauge calibration. A detailed Certificate of Calibration comes with every order for pressure calibration services. The certificate will show all pertinent information, including the “as received” and “as left” conditions of the instrument, NIST traceability, A2LA accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025, detailed calibration results, and explanations of any adjustments or repairs, if applicable.
