UT Immersion Scanning: Bar & Billet Rotator
Automated rotary immersion UT for round stock up to 16″ diameter and 36 ft long | NADCAP Accredited | Pratt & Whitney Approved

Automated UT Immersion Scanning for Round Stock
UT immersion scanning for bar and billet uses high-frequency sound waves directed through water to detect internal defects across the full cross-section of round stock. It is the standard method for OEM-required inspection of aerospace and industrial bar, billet, and round materials.
Laboratory Testing (LTI) operates the ScanMaster LS-200B, an automated rotary immersion system capable of inspecting round bar and billet up to 16″ in diameter and 36 ft in length, with flat product capability up to 11″ wide. LTI is NADCAP accredited and approved to Pratt & Whitney, Aerojet Rocketdyne, SpaceX, and additional customer specifications.
