Detrimental Material Testing
Laboratory Testing (LTI) provides accredited detrimental material testing per MIL-STD-2041, analyzing shop consumables, solvents, wipes, gloves, and packaging for harmful elements with full ppm reporting and certificates of conformance for defense, naval, and aerospace programs.

What is Detrimental Materials Testing?
Detrimental materials testing identifies and quantifies chemical elements and compounds in manufacturing process materials — including solvents, lubricants, wipes, gloves, tapes, and packaging — that could contaminate, corrode, or otherwise compromise hardware during manufacturing, assembly, shipment, or storage.
Under MIL-STD-2041, manufacturers must demonstrate that every shop product contacting special-purpose hardware is free from detrimental substances above defined thresholds. Laboratory Testing (LTI) delivers full-element breakdowns reported in parts per million (ppm), with certificates of conformance available upon request.
LTI serves defense, naval, aerospace, and precision manufacturing customers requiring rigorous material qualification for high-consequence applications.
